Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy is a safe and effective treatment used to relieve pain, remove infection, and help preserve your natural tooth. When the inside of a tooth becomes inflamed, infected, or damaged, treatment may be needed to clean and seal the root canal system so the tooth can continue functioning comfortably. With modern techniques and local anesthesia, root canal treatment is designed to be as comfortable as possible.
Root canal therapy aims to:
-
Relieve tooth pain
-
Remove infection or inflammation
-
Preserve your natural tooth
-
Restore normal chewing function
-
Prevent the need for extraction

Endodontic
Retreatment
Endodontic retreatment may be recommended when a previously treated tooth has not healed as expected or develops new symptoms over time. During retreatment, the existing root canal material is carefully removed, the tooth is re-evaluated, and the canal system is cleaned, disinfected, and resealed to help preserve the natural tooth whenever possible.
Endodontic retreatment aims to:
-
Address persistent or recurring infection
-
Relieve discomfort in a previously treated tooth
-
Reclean and reseal the root canal system
-
Evaluate complex or missed anatomy
-
Help preserve the natural tooth
Cracked Tooth
Treatment
Cracked tooth treatment focuses on diagnosing the location, extent, and severity of a tooth crack to determine the best path forward. Because cracks can cause pain when biting, sensitivity, or inflammation inside the tooth, a careful endodontic evaluation helps determine whether the tooth can be preserved and what treatment is most appropriate.
Cracked tooth treatment aims to:
-
Identify the source of tooth pain
-
Evaluate the depth and severity of the crack
-
Relieve biting discomfort or sensitivity
-
Determine if root canal treatment is needed
-
Help preserve the natural tooth when possible

Apicoectomy
(Endodontic Surgery)
An apicoectomy, also called endodontic surgery, may be recommended when infection or inflammation remains around the root tip after previous root canal treatment. During the procedure, the area is carefully accessed, the end of the root is treated, and a small filling is placed to help seal the tooth and support healing.
Apicoectomy/Endodontic Surgery treatment aims to:
-
Treat infection near the root tip
-
Address symptoms after previous root canal treatment
-
Preserve the natural tooth when nonsurgical treatment is not enough
-
Support healing around the tooth root
-
Provide another option before considering extraction
